This week we refinished some terrazzo shower pans in the locker rooms at the H-Power plant, located at Campbell Industrial Park, where most of Oahu’s household waste is burned, creating energy. Terrazzo is a composite material containing marble, granite, quartz and glass chips that is poured in place with a cement-like binder. It is too porous to work well in showers, but is also very difficult to remove. The officials at H-Power turned to us to refinish their terrazzo pans and they turned out looking fantastic. This goes to show that our coatings will work on nearly any material.
