Sometimes we try to talk people out of refinishing their tile wall surrounds. If you have glossy white 4 inch porcelain tile, 90% of the time it will clean up nicely with some elbow grease and you’ll save a bunch of money. However, textured tile, or undesirable colored tile often are good candidates for refinishing. This recent job was both textured and a nasty brown color. The tub also had rust spots, and even rust holes that we filled with foam, then built up with chip filler before recoating with the rest of the fixture. Everything turned out great and the customer was happy.
